Ignition Keyout

The Maple Keyout System, also known as an Engine Run Lock, allows a vehicle to be left unattended with the engine running after the key has been removed from the ignition — without the risk of theft or unauthorised movement.

The Keyout system is ideal for operators who rely on their vehicle to power onboard utilities or ancillary equipment such as beacons, winches, tail lifts, and PTOs.

Normally, if a vehicle’s ignition is switched off, continued use of this equipment could result in a flat battery. Alternatively, drivers may leave the engine running with the key still in the ignition, leaving the vehicle vulnerable to theft.

Keyout solves this problem by allowing operators to remove the ignition key while the engine continues running. If anyone attempts to move the vehicle without the key present, the system immediately immobilises the engine, preventing unauthorised movement.
