SafeLoader Driveaway Prevention System

Premature vehicle driveaways from loading bays—where a vehicle departs before loading is complete—are rare but pose a serious and potentially fatal risk to loading staff.

SafeLoader is specifically designed to eliminate this risk by preventing vehicles from moving during loading and unloading operations.

Unlike traditional systems, SafeLoader transfers control from the driver to the loading team—those most at risk. When activated, the system applies the vehicle’s brakes, ensuring it cannot be moved until loading is safely completed.

Operating via the vehicle’s pneumatic air braking system, SafeLoader delivers a highly reliable, mechanical solution without the risks associated with electronic systems such as battery failure or component burnout.

How SafeLoader Works

SafeLoader consists of a pneumatic valve fitted to the vehicle and a bespoke operating key located at the loading bay.

When the vehicle is being loaded, the key is inserted into the valve at the rear of the vehicle or trailer. This immediately applies the brakes and locks the vehicle in position.

Any attempt to move the vehicle will be prevented, as the brakes remain fully engaged until the key is removed by the bay team—ensuring loading operations are completed safely before departure.
